The CI Mid is a refined midlength born from our collaboration with Devon Howard, a renowned Southern California surfer known for decades of shaping and perfecting egg-inspired designs.
Blending the smooth, flowing feel of traditional eggs and single-fins with the responsiveness of modern surfboard engineering, the CI Mid offers a perfect balance of style, speed, and control. Its sleek egg outline, low entry rocker, and forward foam distribution make paddling effortless and trim speed natural and fast.
Modern elements—like a double-barrel concave, accelerated tail rocker, and firm, slightly tucked rails—give the CI Mid its lively, maneuverable personality. It glides through smaller, flatter waves with ease, yet truly comes alive in shoulder-high to overhead surf, where it delivers confident, sweeping turns and smooth, seamless lines.
Each board features a minimalist retro logo from the Channel Islands archives and is built with premium resin craftsmanship (6+4 oz deck and 6 oz bottom).
Because fins are key to performance, we partnered with True Ames and Devon Howard to create a custom 2 + 1 fin set designed specifically to enhance the CI Mid’s versatility and performance—allowing you to fine-tune the ride with a simple center fin adjustment.
