BOARD AND WETSUIT HIRE
We have a full range of premium rental boards available for hire to suit every condition Muizenberg can throw at us. Most of our rental boards are from our famous inhouse brands, Magic Shot, Tich Paul, York and NGTV. So whether you're looking to rip it up on a shortboard, have some fun on a fish, cruise to the nose of a longboard, enjoy a little log jam or simply boogie to the sand we've got you covered.

All our rental wetsuits are 4:3mm fleece lined suits to keep you warm throughout the year.
Locker facilities available while you surf.
No need to book, just arrive and we'll get you rigged up.
SAFETY
While we make every effort to ensure your safety, we do however require you to sign an indemnity form. Our instructors also go through various safety scenarios with you as part of your lesson. Because of our location, Muizenberg has a unique “Shark Spotting Program” and it is the only one of its kind in the world.
It attempts to balance the needs of both people and white shark conservation by Pro-actively reducing the interaction and conflict between recreational water users and sharks, thus ensuring your safety.
All lessons have a maximum ratio of 4 students to 1 instructor should students be over the age of 14. For students under 14 who have never surfed, we recommend a one on one lesson.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Arrive at Lifestyle Surf Shop 10 minutes before your lessson time where we will get you kitted out in a wetsuit and with a suitable board, and show you around to our lockers etc. From there an instructor will greet you and take you to the beach to teach you the essential fundamentals which guide you through the process of learning to surf. Lessons will be tailored to your skill level and needs. In your first lesson you will learn the basics of board handling, positioning, paddling, various techniques of getting to your feet, surfing etiquette, ocean knowledge and water safety. We guarantee surfing results after your first lesson. You will be bought back to Lifestyle at the end of your lesson where you will have access to hot showers and change rooms. Lessons are 90 minutes.
