CI LOG by CHANNEL ISLANDS

The CI Log is a beautifully refined traditional longboard created through years of collaboration between surfer Devon Howard and master shaper Wayne Rich. Their mission was simple: craft the best traditional “log” they had ever ridden—one that offers seamless performance from tip to tail.
Staying true to classic longboard design, the CI Log features a soft, edgeless tail, giving it exceptional hold and stability while noseriding through long sections. To avoid the sluggish feel often associated with soft-railed logs, Wayne introduced a low-apex rail that adds drive, sensitivity, and confidence through turns—delivering more performance than most traditional logs.
A wider hipped outline, placed just behind center, gives riders extra leverage to swing the board around with ease—ideal for setting up noserides or navigating tight pockets with smooth control and speed. The blunted nose is purposefully crafted to keep the front of the board slightly narrower 12" back, helping it fit cleanly into steeper, tighter sections while still offering plenty of surface area for stable, stylish tip time.
Whether you're trimming down a long, reeling point wave, making fast adjustments at punchy beach breaks, or cruising over mellow reef setups, the CI Log feels balanced, reliable, and versatile across a broad range of conditions.
Available in premium resin-tint construction (6+6 oz deck with 6 oz bottom) with a satin gloss finish, or in clear with a classic T-Band stringer, the CI Log is as beautiful as it is functional. Custom sizes and colors are also available through your local CI dealer or by special order.
To complete the design, Wayne and the CI team also created a custom single fin specifically shaped to maximize the CI Log’s performance.
